We are currently looking for a Secondary Aluminium Smelting Operator to join our team in Pakenham, Melbourne. This full-time position with relocation assistance.

**Job Overview:**
The successful candidate will oversee the operation of equipment and processes involved in secondary aluminium smelting. This role is essential for maintaining production efficiency while adhering to safety and quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Operate and monitor smelting equipment, including furnaces and melting pots.
• Prepare and load aluminium scrap and alloys into smelting units.
• Monitor temperatures, chemical compositions, and other critical parameters during the smelting process.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot operational issues.
• Maintain accurate records of production output and material usage.
• Participate in quality control measures and adjust processes as needed.

  **Qualifications:**

• High school diploma or equivalent;additional technical training in metallurgy or materials science is preferred.
• Previous experience in aluminium smelting or metal processing is advantageous.
• Knowledge of metallurgy principles and smelting processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
