About the RoleThis is a full-time Sales and Account Manager role reporting directly to the Head of Growth and Partnerships. The vacancy has arisen following an internal promotion, and the business is looking to bring on a driven, team-oriented sales professional to take ownership of an established portfolio and contribute to new business growth.
Each account manager manages a large portfolio of childcare centre clients, ranging from single-centre operators through to large multi-centre groups with turnovers exceeding $100 million. Relationship management is at the core of this role, with regular check-ins, Zoom presentations, and in-person meetings forming the rhythm of client engagement.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing and nurturing an existing portfolio of childcare centre clients through regular, structured contact
Conducting outbound prospecting (approximately 30 to 40 per cent of the role), including cold calling and database outreach to drive new business
Booking and delivering Zoom presentations to prospective clients and winning new accounts
Managing your client pipeline, reporting, and internal administration through HubSpot CRM
Participating in weekly team scripting sessions to refine messaging and sales approach
Attending quarterly interstate industry events and client functions, including formal networking occasions
Contributing to team targets and supporting colleagues to succeed collectively
Our client hires for attitude first. Previous hires with diverse professional backgrounds have thrived in this team because they brought the right mindset: curious, collaborative, respectful, and motivated by something more than personal metrics. If you are the kind of person who genuinely wants to see the team win, you will fit right in.
To be considered for this role, you will bring:
3 to 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management
Excellent communication skills across phone, email, and face-to-face interaction
Proven ability to close deals, handle objections, and manage a sales pipeline
Strong organisation and time management, with the ability to balance account nurturing alongside outbound activity
A team-first mentality - you celebrate the group's wins, support your colleagues, and respect the people you report to
Curiosity and the ability to ask great questions, understand client needs, and adapt your approach accordingly
Full Australian work rights and current Melbourne residency
Have a background in digital marketing sales or technology sales
Have experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environment
Are comfortable at formal industry events and client entertainment settings
Have worked within a team-based incentive or target structure before
This is an opportunity to join a genuinely enjoyable workplace with a team that looks out for each other. Our client has a strong culture, a clear mission, and a track record of backing and developing its people. You will come in with an established client base to build from, real variety in your day, and the support of a collaborative sales team.

A competitive remuneration package with a 20 per cent STI on top of base salary
Monthly team-based sales incentives
Hybrid working model - office collaboration on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, remote the rest of the week
