About the Position
Mega Hand Car Wash Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail & Service Manager to undertake the role and oversee the day-to-day retail and service operations of its busy hand car wash facility. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in coordinating staff, maintaining service quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting the overall operational performance of the business.
This position requires a hands-on manager with strong leadership and customer service skills who can effectively manage workflow, service delivery, staffing, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and oversee the daily retail and service operations of the hand car wash facility to ensure efficient workflow and smooth service delivery
- Coordinate and supervise staff, including rostering, training, mentoring, and performance management to maintain productivity and service standards
- Manage day-to-day responsibilities as the Car Wash Manager, ensuring operational efficiency and quality control across all vehicle cleaning and detailing services
- Monitor customer service standards and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is consistently maintained
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and service-related matters professionally and efficiently
- Coordinate vehicle service schedules, workflow priorities, and customer bookings to maximise operational performance
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning chemicals, detailing materials, retail products, and operational supplies and coordinate purchasing requirements
- Assist in implementing pricing strategies, promotional initiatives, and customer engagement activities to support business growth and repeat business
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures, and operational standards
- Maintain operational records and assist with budgeting, reporting, and cost-control measures to support business performance
Requirements
- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply
- Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Management, Retail, or related discipline preferred is mandatory
- Minimum one year of relevant management or supervisory experience in a retail, service, or customer-focused environment
- Strong leadership, organisational, and staff management abilities
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, in a fast-paced operational environment
- Experience in managing service operations and customer-focused teams will be highly regarded
