The Retail Manager will join our team and work to ensure the venue’s retail operations, catering orders and event bookings are managed efficiently while delivering a high standard of customer service and brand experience.

Task & responsibilities

• Plan, organise and oversee daily retail operations including dine-in service sales, takeaway products, catering orders and event bookings.
• Manage enquiries, bookings and coordination of private events, group functions and catering services.
• Coordinate operational logistics for events including staffing, service planning and scheduling.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue across retail dining, catering and private functions.
• Handle customer feedback, complaints, disputes and grievances, including monitoring and responding on social media across various platforms (Google reviews, Instagram, ect)
• Maintain presentation standards for retail displays, menu promotions and takeaway product merchandising.
• Develop and implement local marketing campaigns, promotional activities, participation in food festivals and fares to increase brand visibility and customer engagement.
• Maintaining relations with business clients and community groups to identify business opportunities 
• Identify partnership opportunities with corporate clients and local organisations for catering and event services.
• Recruit, train and supervise retail and front-of-house staff.
• Monitor employee performance and provide coaching to maintain service standards.
• Maintain operational records including sales reports, staff rosters, inventory records and customer feedback.
• Assist in preparing budgets, cost controls, operational reporting and marketing strategies.

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience in retail management, hospitality retail operations, or similar customer-focused environments.
• Strong sales, marketing and customer relationship management skills.
• Management Qualifications desirable 
• Experience coordinating events, catering services or retail promotions.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and manage customer relations.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
