SSCBC has an opportunity for a professional Restaurant Manager to stamp their mark on the future direction of the clubs F&B offering.

The Restaurant Manager will oversee the efficient running of the restaurant and bar service at SSCBC, with a focus on managing front of house employees and ensuring member satisfaction. In conjunction with the F&B management team, the Restaurant Manager will be responsible for developing a positive and professional brand image through consistent member service and a strong understanding of food and beverage service protocol.  This role is predominantly service-based with the expectation of a ‘hands-on’ approach. 

The Restaurant Manager requires a dynamic individual with a passion for food and beverage, understanding of current trends within the hospitality industry, attention to detail, leadership ability,  and a hands-on approach.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver superior food and beverage services, 
  • Manage all F&B FOH personnel, including:
  • Supervision and performance management,
  • Induct all new personnel and ensure they are trained thoroughly in all appropriate F&B SOPs,
  • Take responsibility for the safe work practices of all F&B FOH personnel,
  • Support and leadership of the bar supervisor,
  • Manage dining room bookings,
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to member complaints,
  • Ensure a high level of cleanliness and order throughout the restaurant, bar and storage areas,
  • Manage daily takings process and reconciliations, 
  • Maintain clear and open communications with all BOH personnel,
  • Open and closing of club house as shifts dictate,
  • In conjunction with the events team delivery of functions as required,

Qualifications / Attributes

To be successful as our Restaurant Manager, you should be able to work independently and interact with a variety of the SSCBC team. Attention to detail is a key component of the role as is integrity. 

You will have at least 3 years of proven work experience in a similar role

You will:

Be proficient in the use of Excel, Deputy and OrderMate (preferred);

  • have experience in a club environment (preferred);
  • possess a professional attitude and appearance;
  • have solid written and verbal communication skills;
  • an ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise;
  • possess excellent organisational skills;
  • be able to multitask and manage your time, with the ability to prioritise tasks and deliver to deadlines; and
  • be experienced in managing an effective team.
