Remedial Massage Therapist

We are looking for a Remedial Massage Therapist to provide personalised in-home treatments that relieve pain, improve mobility, and support clients’ overall wellbeing.

Benefits

The remuneration is AU$75,000 - 85,000 per annum plus superannuation.

Task & responsibilities

- Performing mobile remedial massage treatments in clients’ homes to alleviate musculoskeletal pain, discomfort and improve physical function and mobility

- Assessing clients’ physical conditions, case histories and functional limitations to tailor massage therapy plans to individual therapeutic needs

- Applying a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release, to address soft tissue dysfunctions and assist rehabilitation

- Using soft to firm manual techniques depending on the client’s condition, with attention to areas requiring targeted treatment or pain relief

- Administering massage interventions aimed at improving circulation, reducing muscle tension, supporting injury recovery, and enhancing physical independence

- Incorporating complementary aids and techniques such as hot and cold therapy, essential oils, or assisted stretching as clinically indicated

- Advising clients on post-treatment care, including stretching routines, hydration, and ongoing management strategies to maintain therapeutic benefits

- Preparing and transporting massage tables, linens, oils, and other necessary equipment to client locations for each session

- Completing session notes and treatment reports in accordance with clinical and administrative requirements after each visit

- Participating in fortnightly team meetings to discuss case progress, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

- Communicating professionally with clients, next of kin, and referring healthcare or government bodies to ensure continuity of care and alignment with treatment goals

- Complying with organisational policies, privacy regulations, and infection control procedures relevant to providing in-home health services

Qualification & experience

Qualifications

- At least a diploma or higher qualification in a relevant health discipline (Massage Therapy, Remedial Massage, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy)

Experience

- At least 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably working with older Australians

Skills (Essential)

- Proficient verbal and written English communication skills

- Demonstrated experience and relevant training in the field

- Current driver’s licence and ability to travel as required

- Strong time management and punctuality
