This role is responsible for the management and development of a portfolio of international corporate clients, with a focus on originating and executing financing transactions and managing associated credit risk. The position requires coordination across internal teams and jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements while maintaining high standards of client service and risk management.

Task & responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of international corporate clients, acting as the primary relationship contact in coordination with senior management.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, promoting corporate and investment banking products in coordination with product teams.
  • Originate and execute financing transactions, including working capital facilities and syndicated loans.
  • Prepare and assess credit proposals, including internal rating assessments and renewals, in line with internal policies and procedures.
  • Monitor client performance and credit risk, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Review commercial proposals, legal documentation, and AML/Compliance requirements in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory obligations, and operational processes.
  • Approve pricing and transaction terms within delegated authority and escalate where required.
  • Coordinate with internal teams across multiple jurisdictions to support transaction execution and client servicing.

Qualification & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline (or overseas equivalent).
  • Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in corporate banking, structured finance, or a related area within an international banking environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing corporate client relationships and executing lending or structured finance transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, financial modelling, and risk assessment principles.
  • Experience preparing credit applications and dealing with internal credit approval processes.
  • Familiarity with syndicated loans, working capital financing, and cross-border transactions.
  • Sound understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements, including AML obligations.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple jurisdictions and coordinate with global stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external parties.
  • High level of attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
