We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Oncology healthcare team. As a registered nurse specialising in cancer care, you will provide expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and other members of the cancer specialty healthcare team to enhance the provision of safe and exceptional care for our patients.
Delivering chemotherapy, targeted therapies and immunotherapy, which includes monitoring and administering intravenous infusions.
Provide direct and indirect patient care in alignment with established clinical guidelines and best practices.
Offer clinical guidance to healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and allied health staff, regarding the specialty of cancer nursing.
Promote a culture of evidence-based practice and continuous professional development among the nursing staff.
Act as a resource and advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
Foster collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary teams to promote interdisciplinary care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support the implementation of best practices for cancer care.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
Minimum two years clinical experience in cancer nursing, with demonstrated expertise in the specialty.
Current AHPRA Nursing Registration.
Proof of current ADAC and Blood Safe competencies.
Strong understanding of evidence-based practice and its application to cancer nursing.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals at all levels.
Ability to critically analyse complex clinical situations and make informed decisions.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with advancements in cancer care.
