What you'll be doingÂ
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, highâquality nursing care that promotes positive health outcomes for patients, families and carers, while working closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care using evidenceâbased practice
Deliver culturally responsive, personâcentred care across a range of clinical needs
Accurately document care plans, progress notes and referrals
Collaborate effectively with patients, carers and healthcare professionals
Support, mentor and contribute to the development of nursing colleagues
As an ICU Registered Nurse in a public hospital setting, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients with complex and life-threatening conditions. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for continuous patient assessment, monitoring advanced life-support systems, administering treatments, and responding promptly to clinical changes to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical judgement, effective communication, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, while also supporting patients and their families with compassion and professionalism. You will contribute to maintaining safety and quality standards, participate in ongoing education, and support a collaborative team culture aligned with public healthcare values.

Essential Requirements
Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Â
Selection Criteria
Recent experience in Intensive Care environment or relevant experiences in an acute/ COU inpatient area as deemed appropriate by WSLHD
Ability to work a rotating 7 day roster to meet clinical demands of busy quaternary Intensive Care Service
Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail
Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems
