We’re looking for an enthusiastic Process Engineer driven by innovation and keen to make a lasting impact on industrial decarbonisation. 

The Role: 

As an R & D Process Engineer, you’ll play a central role in taking SiPHyR from concept to commercialisation.  

You’ll be hands on across all stages, including: 

• Design conceptualisation and calculations 

• Fabrication design and assembly 

• System-level analysis for optimal sizing and component selection 

• Instrumentation and operation of the SiPHyR product 

• Supporting commercialisation and real-world deployment 

You’ll also collaborate across other 1414 Degrees projects, gaining exposure to diverse, innovative energy solutions. 

About you: 

You're curious, proactive, and excited to tackle big challenges in clean energy. To thrive in this role you’ll bring:   

• A degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (higher qualifications or experimental R&D experience valued)   

• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in a relevant field - e.g. fuels, energy conversion, thermal storage 

• Strong analytical skills and a knack for creative, lateral thinking  

• Proficiency in CAD and CAE tools for design and testing, e.g. Inventor, Ansys 

• A solid understanding of instrumentation, measurement and statistical data analysis 

• A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a results-oriented mindset 

• A commitment to safe working practices 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills 

• A constructive, adaptable approach to improvement and change
