For our ongoing projects in regional Australia, we are seeking a qualified Telecommunications Network Planner to perform following duties;
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive telecommunications network architectures tailored to specific business and customer requirements
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing network infrastructures and provide strategic upgrade recommendations for enhanced performance
- Create detailed network designs, comprehensive technical specifications, and accurate cost projections for upcoming projects
- Coordinate effectively with clients, engineering teams, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery and implementation
- Assess network equipment and software solutions for optimal compatibility, performance, and cost-effectiveness within existing systems
- Plan optimal fiber paths considering distance, terrain, right-of-way, and cost
- Perform comprehensive feasibility studies evaluating environmental, technical, and financial factors before project implementation begins
- Design wireless coverage areas to minimise dead zones and ensure signal quality
- Responsible for installation processes, equipment configuration, and seamless integration of new network infrastructure components throughout facilities
- Use planning tools to simulate performance, interference, and load scenarios
- Continuously monitor network performance metrics and implement troubleshooting solutions to maintain optimal operational efficiency
- Identify areas needing upgrades, repairs or reconfiguration to improve performance
- Use software and hardware’s to connect network & telecommunication technology with desktops, phones, laptops and other operating devices.
- Identify potential risks (capacity overload, equipment failure, environmental issues) and design redundancy solutions
- Design backup paths and failover systems to enhance reliability
- Provide technical guidance during implementation and post-deployment evaluation.
- Ensure strict adherence to telecommunications regulations, safety protocols, and industry compliance standards throughout all projects
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and detailed records of network designs, configurations, modifications, and performance metrics

Education & Qualifications
- Advanced Diploma or Diploma in the related field
- Alternatively, three years of relevant full-time experience may substitute for formal qualifications
Experience: A minimum of one year of full-time relevant experience
Remuneration: The full time position offers an annual salary of $80,000 plus superannuation
