The Opportunity  
SEE Group have a great career opportunity available for a Leading Hand to join our highly professional and skilled Quarry operations team. This is a diverse, and fast-paced role, operating various quarry machinery, supporting the quarry supervisor with the daily operation and coordination of staff activities and subcontractors. A full-time permanent role based predominantly in Tenterfield, NSW. You’ll work closely with teams across quarry operation, fleet maintenance, and project administration.   

Responsibilities  

• Lead crushing and screening activities efficiently utilising plant and labour. 

• Ensure all delays are appropriately pre-planned and coordinated with Supervisor.  

• Assist in the delivery of production targets. 

• Adheres to schedules, budgets, policies and procedures, including health and safety policies and documentation.  

• Carry out pre-start checklists with plant you are required to operate.  

• Operate plant appropriately and safely to suit the individual job conditions. 

• Represent SEE Group in a professional manner at all times, both externally and internally and support the adoption of the SEE Group corporate culture.  

• Be positive and proactive in their approach to the coaching, mentoring and training of relevant staff and identify and develop staff within the department for the benefit of the organisation and to meet future growth and needs of the company.  

• Responsible for a productive team environment where high morale contributes to the satisfactions of associates and business objectives. 

• Conducts regular and ongoing meetings with the project team and field staff to remain informed of project work and facilitate resolution of presented or developing issues. 

Essential Skills and Attributes 

• Experience in a similar environment (Quarry industry) 

• Enjoy practical and manual work  

• RII in relevant Plant (Excavator, Articulated Haul Truck, Loader) 

• Ability to work without supervision
