Our practice is growing again and we are excited to be recruiting for TWO positions:
Early Childhood Psychologist (3-5 days/week) - Key Selection Criteria
Experience with, and passion for, working with families of children aged under 6 years
Confidence with presenting issues such as school readiness, developmental concerns, behavioural difficulties, emotional regulation, autism, parenting challenges etc.
Understanding and knowledge of child development
Comfortable working with parents to provide evidence-based strategies to support their child's development
Competence with ADOS-2, WPPSI-IV and other relevant standardised psychological assessment tools, especially in relation to assessing autism
Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is required and ideally at least one year's experience as a fully registered psychologist
Medicare provider eligibility
Competence with maintaining an average of minimum 5 billable hours per day (this includes allocated report writing for assessments)
General Psychologist - Child/Adolescent &/or Adult (3-5 days/week) - Key Selection Criteria
Experience providing counselling for school aged children and adolescents at NCCD and/or adults in our new sister practice NCAP
Confidence with assessing/formulating/diagnosing the relevant client groups for ADHD, Autism, Learning difficulties (children and adolescents only) using standardised assessment tools such as WISC-V, WIAT-III, ADOS-2, ADI-R etc.
Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is required and ideally at least one year's experience as a fully registered psychologist

We are an independent private psychology practice in Thornbury. Founded in 2013, our practice has tried and true systems in place allowing you the mental space to focus on the important stuff - being a psychologist! In 2025 we launched the Northern Centre for Adult Psychology to provide psychological support for the adults in our community. Both practices are housed within our beautiful Thornbury clinic, nestled a stones throw away from Darebin creek, Ivanhoe shops and vibrant Thornbury precinct.
