About the role
888 Citrus is seeking a full-time Production Horticulture Supervisor - Citrus and Table Grapes to join our orchard operations team in Mundubbera.
Reporting to the Managing Director (Craig Meyer), this position is responsible for supervising day-to-day citrus and table grape production activities, including growing, harvesting, packing and dispatching to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes across the orchard and packing facility.

- Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation
- Hours: 38 hours per week with reasonable additional hours during peak seasonal periods.
Task & responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities
- Oversee the planting, cultivation and harvest of citrus and table grape crops, including pruning, thinning, crop monitoring and general orchard maintenance.
- Supervise and coordinate work teams across orchard, picking and packing shed operations to meet production, quality and dispatch requirements.
- Plan and implement daily and seasonal production activities, including harvest, packing and dispatch schedules.
- Monitor crop health, irrigation and nutrition, and assist with pest, disease, watering and fertiliser management.
- Operate and oversee the safe use of farm machinery and equipment and undertake minor repairs and maintenance where required.
- Coordinate and perform chemical spraying, irrigation and fertiliser application in line with company procedures and safety requirements.
- Ensure packing shed activities are carried out efficiently and safely, including grading, packing, palletising and dispatch preparation.
- Implement and monitor workplace health and safety procedures, complete WHS documentation and maintain a safe working environment.
- Train, lead and support seasonal and permanent staff, including competency signoffs and day-to-day supervision.
- Maintain accurate production, spray, fertiliser, machinery and safety records.
- Perform general farm duties and other tasks as reasonably directed by management.
Qualification & experience
Skills, experience and qualifications required
- At least five years of recent full-time experience in horticultural production, preferably in citrus, table grapes or similar orchard crops, in a supervisor or senior role.
- Demonstrated experience supervising horticultural teams in growing, harvest, packing and dispatch operations.
- Proven ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment in a commercial horticulture environment.
- Sound knowledge of irrigation, fertiliser application, chemical handling and orchard maintenance practices.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements in agriculture.
- Good leadership, communication and organisational skills, including the ability to train staff and maintain accurate records.
- A relevant Certificate III or IV qualification is desirable but not essential where substantial relevant industry experience is demonstrated.
