About the role:

MPK is seeking an experienced Procurement & Contracts Officer to support our Energy Services operations from our Wellcamp office, working Monday to Friday.

This role is suited to someone with experience in project-based purchasing, supplier coordination, and contract administration support within a fast-paced operational environment. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and project teams to ensure procurement activities, service agreements, and purchasing processes are managed efficiently and in accordance with MPK policies and procedures.

Reporting to the Administration Manager, this position will:

  • Manage procurement activities for operational and project materials, equipment, consumables, and services
  • Source quotations, evaluate supplier pricing, and support commercial decision-making outcomes
  • Coordinate purchasing requirements across multiple operational and project teams
  • Raise and maintain accurate purchase orders and invoice processing
  • Assist with the administration of supplier agreements, subcontractor documentation, and service contracts
  • Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve purchasing, delivery, and invoice discrepancies
  • Monitor delivery lead times and communicate schedule impacts or delays to relevant teams
  • Maintain vendor records, onboarding documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Support reporting on outstanding purchase orders, invoices, commitments, and project costs
  • Assist with inventory management and stock allocation processes
  • Contribute to procurement process improvements and supply chain initiatives
  • Ensure procurement activities are completed in alignment with company policies and project requirements

About you:

The successful candidate will ideally have 2+ years’ experience in procurement, project purchasing, contracts administration, or a similar role within construction, energy, mining, oil & gas, or related industries.

The required knowledge and skills include:

  • Experience in procurement and supplier coordination
  • Exposure to contract administration and subcontractor/vendor management processes or willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
  • ERP system experience (Jobpac experience preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with an ability to work collaboratively within operational and project teams
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement

Experience within Well Servicing, Energy, Construction, or Industrial Services environments will be highly regarded.
