Printer

You would be responsible for end-to-end print production working on our A1 & A2 presses which are the latest technology presses - 8 colours LED - 8 colour plus Coater Led - 4 Colour (2x2 perfect), All Supplied.  The position requires a minimum of 1 year post apprenticeship print production experience, only fully qualified printers need apply.

To be successful in this role you must have the following skills:

Strong experience working with offset printing

Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan your production schedule, work quickly, accurately and autonomously

Strong written and verbal communication skills and taking responsibility for ensuring that customer needs are met and exceeded

Good knowledge of various file formats and there inherent print challenges and pre press skills with ability to press check files for printing

Desire to learn and grow within the offset print industry

Team player looking to help the business grow through continued self development, learning machinery capabilities and stock availability to improve output speed and breadth of product range

While some training will be provided, previous experience in an offset printing environment is essential for this role.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Production of a range of printed products

Inventory Management – stocktaking

Maintaining the equipment and Production area

Prepress skills and the ability to press check files for printing

The Role

38 hour working week shifts with rotation flexibility as required

Operate offset printing presses

Advise and contribute to ongoing workflow improvements

Become familiar with day-to-day printing and routing operations

Be aware of stock levels and advise needs as they arise

Whilst the role is Monday to Friday rotating day/afternoon shift some flexibility with regard to shifts will be required
