About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Farm Manager to take full responsibility for an 8 shed farm located in the Tamworth region.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a small on-farm team and oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring strong performance across production, animal welfare, safety, and compliance.
This is a practical leadership role requiring a strong on-farm presence and a proactive, accountable approach.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all day-to-day farm operations
Drive best practice standards in bird welfare, productivity, and safety
Oversee feed systems, silos, sheds, and infrastructure
Supervise, coach, and develop a small team
Deliver production targets and operational KPIs
Ensure accurate and timely compliance and performance reporting
Manage labour planning and rostering
Implement preventative and reactive maintenance programs
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and high-performing work environment
About You
You are a practical, hands-on leader who thrives in a structured, performance driven environment.
You will bring:
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in poultry or intensive protein production
Proven ability to deliver against production and performance targets
Strong leadership capability with a small team
Ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of operations
A strong commitment to workplace health & safety
Solid computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
A reliable, accountable work ethic with a focus on outcomes
Formal qualifications in agriculture, poultry, or livestock management are highly regarded
Willingness to step up and support the Operations manager when required.
