Position Title: Photocopier & POS Technician
Location: Bundaberg and Rockhampton (Two Positions Available)
Reports To: management of – Sharp Bundaberg

Position Overview

Sharp Bundaberg is seeking two skilled Photocopier & POS Technicians, one based in Bundaberg and one in Rockhampton. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HP, Kyocera, and Sharp multifunction devices, photocopiers, point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, and related equipment.

We’re looking for technicians who are customer‑focused, technically capable, and able to work independently while delivering a high standard of service to our valued clients.

Remuneration package includes a fully serviced company vehicle, fuel card, and laptop.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Setup: Install and configure photocopiers, multifunction devices, and POS systems at customer sites.

• Maintenance & Repairs: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs to minimise downtime.

• Technical Support: Provide on‑site and remote support for hardware and software issues.

• Upgrades & Integration: Complete software updates, firmware upgrades, and network integrations.

• Customer Service: Deliver clear communication and excellent service at every customer interaction.

• Training: Provide end‑user training on equipment functions and best practices.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, job reports, and parts usage logs.

• Stock & Parts Management: Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability for common repairs.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience servicing photocopiers, multifunction devices, and/or POS systems preferred.

• Strong mechanical and electronic fault‑finding skills.

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, printing protocols, device integration).

• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.

• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting ability.

• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to exceptional customer service.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
