Vision Enterprises Pty Ltd is hiring a full-time hours Pastry Cook role in Burswood, Perth. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pastry Cook to join our growing team at our deli and bakery where we prepare meals suitable for anytime of the day.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, baked goods, and other bakery items, ensuring consistency and quality in every product.

Decorate pastries to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation.

Ensure all baked products meet high-quality standards and are consistent in taste, texture, and presentation.

checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times.

Ensure compliance with WHS (Work Health and Safety) legislation and adhere to all food safety regulations.

Organised and ability to meet production deadlines.

Accurate recording of paperwork.

Skills:

Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods.

Preparing pastry fillings.

Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products.

Glazing buns and pastries and decorating cakes with cream and icing.

Operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits.

Requirements:

Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a kitchen or bakery environment

Hold at least a Certificate III in a relevant field (e.g., Patisserie, Baking, Commercial Cookery)

Ability to contribute to the development and implementation of a Food Safety System, including:

·         Staff training

·         Compliance monitoring

·         Documentation management

Physically fit and capable of working early shifts (starting from 4:00am, 8-hour shifts) on a rotating roster with a team of pastry cooks (24/7 operation)

Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills

Reliable, punctual, and possessing a positive, team-oriented attitude
