We are looking for a skilled and reliable Painter (Painting Trades Worker) to join our team at Colour Exchange Pty Ltd. The role involves performing all aspects of surface preparation, applying paints, primers, and finishes to various materials using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.

Task & responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure project requirements are understood and completed on schedule.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a positive work ethic throughout all tasks
• Protecting work areas, including covering furniture and flooring.
• Checking equipment and workplace cleanliness before painting to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Removing old paint or finishes by sanding, scraping, or chemical means.
• Preparing surfaces and applying paints, primers, sealers, and finishes to a variety of surfaces (wood, metal, plaster).
• Applying paint using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. 
• Maintaining and cleaning painting tools and equipment.

Qualification & experience

• At least 2-3 years of experience working as a Painter.
• Understanding of Australian standards and safety requirements.
• Relevant industry certificates (White Card, EWP, WAH)
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and work schedules
• Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented.
