About YEM Technology YEM Technology is a maintenance, commissioning, construction and electrical company specialising in fixed plant maintenance, shutdown maintenance greenfield and brownfield SMPE&I construction services and has been operating at Sino Iron since 2015.
About the Role We are looking for experienced industrial Painters and Blasters for ongoing work at Sino Iron, Cape Preston. You will be working across surface preparation and protective coating application on fixed plant and infrastructure in a heavy mining environment.
The role is FIFO ex Perth on a 2:1 roster. Both permanent and casual arrangements are available.
What You Will Be Doing - Abrasive blasting and surface preparation to specification
- Application of protective coatings and industrial paint systems
- Reading and following paint specs and technical data sheets
- Working at heights and in confined spaces as required
- Maintaining a clean and compliant work area
What We Need From YouEssential:
- Demonstrated experience in industrial or mining painting and blasting
- Gas Test Atmospheres, Working at Heights (WAH) and Confined Space Entry (CSE), valid within the last 5 years
- LF and WP High Risk Work Licence
- Construction "White" Card
- Valid Australian C Class driver's licence
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Clean-shaven. Mask fit is mandatory and non-negotiable on site
Desirable:
- Experience with application of Alocit 28 product
