We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our Afternoon packing team on a permanent full-time basis.
Enjoy a 9-day fortnight – Monday to Friday, with every second Friday off.
Please note: start times may vary depending on production requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on position in a large production environment and is looking for stable weekday hours with a long-term opportunity.
About the Role
As a Packing / Machine Operator, you will play a key role in keeping our production lines running smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Responsibilities include:
Daily set-up and start-ups of machines
Troubleshooting during line runs and end-of-day shutdowns
Ensuring final products, packaging materials, and supplies are sufficiently stocked
Assisting with changeovers and basic preventative maintenance tasks
Working alongside such processes as chilling spirals, metal detection, x-ray, check weighing, sleeving, case packing, labelling and manual packing
Performing quality checks and maintaining accurate QC documentation
Setting up and adjusting machinery, resolving basic mechanical problems
Maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards in line with HACCP and GMP
Supporting safe start-up and shutdown procedures
Meeting production targets and monitoring line performance, escalating issues when required
Working safely, responsibly, and in compliance with company quality systems
About You
Full training will be provided to the right individual; however, preference will be given to candidates who have:
Previous machine or production operating experience, ideally within high-volume FMCG, food, or healthcare manufacturing
Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, quality, and safety principles
Strong attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude
Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining a strong safety focus
Willingness to be trained on a range of equipment and processes
