As the Operations Support Officer (Steel), you will report directly to the Operations Manager to support our production team across key business functions, including Quality Assurance, Scheduling, Continuous Improvement and Manufacturing. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, a knowledge of metal fabrication and a proactive approach to problem-solving and wishes to further develop those skills.

Key Responsibilities

·       Assist Operations Manager with scheduling, manufacturing oversight and production documentation.

·       Liaise with the supervisor daily to prioritize production targets.

·       Ensure that quality and consistency of all products meet industry requirements and agreed process specifications.

·       Manage the completion of QA and production paperwork with floor staff.

·       Create and review material BOM's for purchasing. 

·       Internal auditing, monitoring and maintenance of Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) and ISO 9001 Quality Management (QMS) Systems.

·       Address and communicate product and staff deviations and non-conformances in real time to team leaders and escalate issues when necessary.

Qualifications/Experience

·       Demonstrated experience in a similar manufacturing and/or engineering role. 

·       Sound knowledge of heavy industrial manufacturing processes.

·       Mechanical/ Metal trade background highly regarded.

·       Experience working within an ISO9001 quality environment highly regarded. 

·       Communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

·       High Attention to detail and ability to work proactively.
