We are excited to announce an opening for a Operations & Customer Service Executive (or maybe 2) at our vibrant Melbourne office! Your purpose:
Maintain strong and professional communication with clients regarding shipment status, milestones, delays, and exceptions
Coordinate metropolitan and regional/rural transport movements across Australia
Resolve operational issues in a timely and professional manner
Coordinate underbond cargo deliveries and related transport requirements
Manage ad hoc quotation requests and provide commercially viable freight and transport solutions
Maintain and update customer SOPs and operational requirements
Coordinate international freight bookings across Air Freight, LCL, and FCL shipments
Manage end-to-end shipment activities including booking arrangements, shipment tracking, milestone updates, and delivery coordination
Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, and internal departments to ensure smooth cargo movement
Support brokerage job management and customs clearance processes
Support cross-trade and project-based shipment activities when required
Maintain accurate shipment records and operational data within CargoWise One (CW1)
Utilise Integrated Cargo System (ICS) where required for operational and customs-related activities
Ensure invoices are accurate, timely, and compliant with customer requirements
Assist with cost control and identification of operational efficiencies to support account profitability
You'll bring:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Cartage and Customer Service role within the freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, or international transport industry
Strong understanding of international freight operations across Air Freight, LCL, and FCL cargo
Experience coordinating metropolitan and regional/rural transport movements
Knowledge of Australian import customs clearance procedures
Understanding of underbond cargo procedures and transport requirements
Experience coordinating end-to-end shipment and delivery processes
Experience managing customer relationships within a service-driven environment
Understanding of invoicing processes, billing practices, and operational cost management preferred
Ability to manage multiple shipments, deliveries, and priorities simultaneously in a high-volume environment
CargoWise One (CW1) system experience required
Integrated Cargo System (ICS) experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
