The Office Manager will be responsible for coordinating office administration, operational workflows and internal business processes to ensure the smooth running of the bakery’s operations.

Reporting directly to management, the successful candidate will support business operations across administration, customer service, staff coordination, compliance and office systems management.

Key Responsibilities

Office & Administration Management

  • Manage day-to-day office operations, including reception duties, customer enquiries, supplier communications and general administration. 
  • Coordinate administrative workflows across production, retail and wholesale operations. 
  • Maintain office records, filing systems, schedules and internal documentation. 
  • Support rostering coordination and staff administration processes. 

Systems, Processes & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain office systems, administrative procedures and operational processes. 
  • Ensure business records, licences, permits and compliance documentation remain current and properly maintained. 
  • Liaise with external service providers including accountants, suppliers, IT support and contractors. 
  • Support implementation of workplace health and safety procedures and compliance requirements. 

Financial & Operational Support

  • Assist with invoicing, purchase orders, expense tracking and supplier account administration. 
  • Monitor inventory administration and coordinate office and operational supply orders. 
  • Prepare operational and administrative reports for management as required. 
  • Support onboarding and administrative induction processes for new staff members. 

Customer Service & Team Support

  • Act as a key point of contact for customer and staff enquiries. 
  • Support management in maintaining efficient communication between departments. 
  • Assist in maintaining a positive and professional workplace environment. 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in office management, administration management or a similar role. 
  • Diploma qualification or higher in Business, Management or related field preferred (or equivalent relevant experience).  
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems. 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
