The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our practice. This role requires a proactive, well-organised professional who can manage workflows, supervise administrative staff, and ensure compliance and efficiency across the office.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you’ll be the main point of contact across the practice, helping manage daily workflows and supporting both the Partners and the accounting team. You’ll handle key responsibilities like maintaining ASIC compliance through (relevant software), coordinating ATO lodgements, and managing firm correspondence and document tracking. You’ll also keep client records up to date using MYOB AE, assist with billing and debtor follow-up, and help with client onboarding while making sure compliance requirements are met. This is a hands-on role suited to someone organised, proactive, and confident working in a busy professional setting.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Organise and supervise the daily functions of the office, ensuring workflow efficiency across the practice
  • Manage and support administrative staff, including task allocation, mentoring, and performance monitoring
  • Develop, review, and implement administrative systems, policies, and office procedures
  • Coordinate ASIC and ATO compliance requirements, lodgements, and corporate governance obligations
  • Maintain accurate client and compliance records using MYOB AE, Xero, QuickBooks Handi Soft, and internal databases
  • Oversee invoicing, debtor management, and assist with monitoring office budgets and financial records
  • Arrange office resources, equipment, and supplies to support business needs
  • Record and maintain HR-related information, including staff leave, training, and personnel records
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and submissions for Partners and the accounting team
  • Manage client onboarding processes, ensuring compliance protocols are followed
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, Partners, and staff regarding administrative and compliance queries

What You’ll Bring:

  • 1-2 years of previous experience in an Office Manager or senior administration role, ideally in an accounting or professional services setting
  • Relevant qualifications or at least three years of relevant experience 
  • Confidence using MYOB AE, Xero, QuickBooks Handi Soft and (any relevant software) (or similar compliance platforms)
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Clear and professional communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with ease
  • A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative
