DJM Electrical is expanding, and we're looking for the right person to become a key part of our team.

We're not looking for someone to simply "do admin."

We're looking for someone organised, driven, reliable, and switched on — someone who wants to grow with a business that's building a strong reputation across residential, commercial, Level 2 ASP, and solar projects throughout Newcastle and surrounding areas.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves structure and organisation, communicates confidently, and enjoys being part of a motivated team that genuinely backs each other.

The Role

You'll become a central part of the day-to-day operations of the business, helping keep jobs, scheduling, communication, and systems running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and scheduling electricians and projects

  • Ordering materials

  • Managing calendars, bookings, and workflow

  • Communicating with clients, suppliers, and the team

  • Preparing quotes, invoices, and administrative documents

  • Supporting customer service and client relationships

  • Assisting with business growth and operational improvements

  • Maintaining organised systems and processes

  • Helping ensure jobs run efficiently from start to finish

This is a varied role where no two days are the same.


What We're Looking For

We want someone who:

  • Is highly organised and detail-oriented

  • Communicates confidently and professionally

  • Can multitask and stay composed under pressure

  • Takes initiative and solves problems independently

  • Is reliable, motivated, and accountable

  • Works well within a team environment

  • Wants to grow professionally and personally

  • Takes pride in being efficient and proactive

  • Has a minimum of 3 years' administrative or office support experience

  • Is an Australian citizen

Experience Highly Regarded

  • Scheduling or coordination experience

  • Trades, construction, or service industry experience

  • Experience using ServiceM8 or similar software

  • Customer service or client relationship experience

  • Social media, marketing, or business development skills
