Monbulk Rose, Tree and Shrub Farm Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated Nurseryperson to join our wholesale nursery team in Monbulk, Victoria.

Skills and Experience Required

Applicants should have:

• Previous nursery, horticulture, farming or similar outdoor labour experience preferred

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

• Current manual driver licence (essential)

• Tractor or machinery experience advantageous but not essential

• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

Position Duties

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with daily nursery operations including potting, pruning and plant care

• Propagating plants from cuttings and seeds, and grafting onto root stock

• Loading and unloading trucks

• Preparing and processing customer orders

• Managing plant labels

• Monitoring plant health and reporting issues

• Operating machinery and tools safely

• Assisting with dispatch and delivery processes

• Following workplace health and safety procedures

• Maintaining a clean and tidy workplace

• Watering plants manually and controlling automatic watering operations

• Applying pesticides to control pests, diseases, weeds and nutritional and environmental plant disorders

Salary

Annual salary: $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
