Role

The role of the NSW Marketing and Events Officer is to contribute to the development and promotion of FACCI services, memberships and events, including identifying and securing new members and sponsors, developing partnerships and coordinating services provided to FACCI members.

The position focuses on expanding FACCI’s commercial presence and member acquisition within the Australian market.

The role involves extensive liaison with French and Australian companies, trade and governmental organisations, external stakeholders and interstate offices, and supports FACCI’s engagement, visibility and brand positioning in the business community.


Responsibilities

Marketing & Communication (Primary Duties)

• Collaborate with the FACCI National Team and Communication team regarding branding, promotion and development of the communication plan for national events taking place in NSW.

• Plan and execute marketing campaigns across digital channels including website, email communications and social media platforms to increase membership acquisition and engagement.

• Analyse industry sectors, member profiles and engagement data to identify target markets and develop member acquisition initiatives.

• Ensure continuous promotion of FACCI initiatives, programs and services throughout the year.

• Update the FACCI website and social media (LinkedIn & Facebook) with upcoming events and articles about past events.

• Identify new engagement opportunities in collaboration with other FACCI chapters or external partners.

• Liaise with the Marketing & Communication team to communicate about members and FACCI activities.

• Monitor campaign performance and participation metrics and adjust marketing approaches accordingly.


Memberships & Partnerships

• Identify leads, actively promote memberships and secure new members.

• Assist in retaining existing members within an allocated portfolio.

• Propose and implement strategies to recruit new members.

• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders including French institutions, government bodies, professional organisations and bilateral chambers.

• Develop and implement sponsorship strategies and commercial partnership packages aligned with FACCI’s positioning and objectives.

• Research potential sponsors and manage ongoing partnerships and sponsorship arrangements.

• Meet membership revenue targets and deadlines as provided by the General Manager.

• Provide recommendations to management regarding member engagement and partnership initiatives.


Events & Commercial Engagement

• Use events as a marketing and engagement platform to promote FACCI services and strengthen market visibility.

• Engage with members of the NSW FACCI council for their contribution and participation at events.

• Select and liaise with external stakeholders including speakers, public and private partners, companies, venues and media.

• Structure, promote and oversee events to ensure alignment with FACCI engagement and promotional objectives.

• Oversee event registration, ticketing and payment processes to ensure seamless participant management and accurate revenue tracking.

• Increase the number of attendees and the quality of FACCI events and offerings.

• Meet budgeted event and sponsorship revenues as provided by the General Manager.

• Analyse event outcomes and participation to improve future engagement initiatives.


Business Services

• Promote FACCI services to members and the network of French Chambers of Commerce and identify opportunities.

• Partner with and promote services to organisations in France, Australia and Asia.

• Deliver business services including market research, identification of importers or distributors, offer testing, appointment scheduling with qualified leads and other services.


Management & Administrative Support (Ancillary Duties)

• Assist the Head of the NSW Chapter in coordinating interns and supporting chapter initiatives.

• Assist with organisational and operational tasks required for FACCI NSW and its committees.

• Maintain records within FACCI CRM (Glue Up) and member directory.

• Act as the primary contact for enquiries regarding events, memberships and services within the role’s scope.


Tools / Resources

• Update CRM (Glue Up) and utilise it for stakeholder and membership management.


Profile Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the Australian market and its industries.

• Tertiary qualification in project, business, marketing, communications or similar experience.

• Experience in planning and delivering events.

• Business development experience to secure memberships and sponsorships.

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (English; French advantageous).

• Proficiency in CRM tools and software.

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work autonomously with a positive and proactive attitude.
