The Network Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and optimising the company’s internal IT and network infrastructure to support office operations, warehouse activities, and field technicians working across multiple job sites. This role ensures secure, reliable, and high‑performance connectivity across the organisation, enabling efficient communication, project coordination, and delivery of HVAC services. The position requires a technically skilled professional who can manage network systems, troubleshoot complex issues, implement security measures, and support cloud‑based platforms used for scheduling, quoting, project management, and certification

Task & responsibilities

•     Design, configure, and maintain the organisation’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems.

•     Monitor network performance and ensure availability, reliability, and security across office, warehouse, and field operations.

•     Diagnose and resolve network faults, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks affecting technicians and project teams.

•     Implement and maintain network security measures, including access controls, encryption, and intrusion prevention.

•     Support cloud‑based platforms used for quoting, scheduling, project management, certification, and remote diagnostics.

•     Manage network documentation, diagrams, configuration records, and change logs.

•     Conduct system upgrades, patching, and optimisation of network hardware and software.

•     Provide escalation support for complex IT and network issues raised by office staff and field technicians.

•     Assist with planning and deploying new network projects, technology upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.

•     Ensure compliance with organisational policies, cybersecurity standards, and industry best practices.


Qualification & experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Networking, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in network engineering or network administration roles.
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and network security principles.
  • Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in multi‑site or service‑based environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support both technical and non‑technical staff.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting field‑based teams or service technicians.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or similar).
  • Experience with mobile device management (MDM) or remote access technologies.
  • Familiarity with HVAC industry software or project management tools.
