Walton Hotel is seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our hospitality team and deliver high-quality culinary experiences for guests. As a Chef, you will manage day-to-day kitchen functions, create menu items, and ensure consistent food quality in a busy hotel environment.

Task & responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present menu items to hotel standards
- Assist with menu planning, seasonal dishes, and specials
- Ensure consistent food quality, flavour, and presentation
- Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and safe food handling
- Supervise kitchen staff and support staff training where required
- Monitor stock levels and support ordering of ingredients and supplies
- Comply with workplace health and safety, and food safety regulations
- Coordinate kitchen workflow for efficient service times
- Support cost control and waste minimisation practices
- Collaborate with front-of-house to ensure seamless guest experience
Qualification & experience
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 -3 year experience as a Chef in a hotel, restaurant, or commercial kitchen
- Proven knowledge of kitchen operations, food hygiene, and safety standards
- Strong organisational, multitasking, and time-management skills
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods
- Positive attitude, team player, and excellent communication skills
- Experience with menu development and stock control advantageous
