BrokerReady is a small specialist MSP based on the Sunshine Coast. We work with Australian insurance brokers, and our entire technical stack and service model is built around them. From July 2026 we are based in a new Buderim office, and we are growing the team.
We are looking for a mid to senior MSP technician with 2 to 4 years of multi-client IT experience. This is a hands-on role, not a paperwork role. You will work across the full stack, talk to clients directly, and own problems through to resolution.
What makes this role different
The L2 and L3 workload currently sits with the CEO and our existing senior technician. That is the bottleneck this hire is here to solve. You will not be one of fifty engineers grinding through a ticket queue. We are a small team (currently four) and you will have real ownership from week one. You will work with modern tooling, an automation-led approach, and a CEO who is technical and still in the queue.

You will work with modern tooling, an automation-led approach, and a CEO who is technical and still in the queue.
Hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, office-based in Buderim.
What you will be doing
You will provide L2 and L3 support across our client base, handle escalations from our L1, work on project delivery, and contribute to our automation and documentation. Day to day that means HaloPSA tickets, Microsoft 365 and Intune administration, AWS workloads in ap-southeast-2, Cloudflare Zero Trust, EDR investigation and tuning across SentinelOne and Huntress, Sophos firewall changes, Cove backup verification, and building automation in Rewst where it removes manual work.
As a vertical specialist, you will quickly build deep knowledge of how insurance brokers actually run. That vertical knowledge is valuable and portable.
What we need from you
At least 2 years in an MSP or similar multi-client IT support environment. This is a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have. We are not in a position to train someone from zero in this role.
Strong Microsoft 365 administration. Comfortable with Windows Server, basic networking (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs), and a sensible troubleshooting methodology.
Clear, direct communication. You can talk to a non-technical client without being condescending, and you can explain a complex issue without burying them in jargon. You can own a problem until it is actually fixed, not just closed.
Bonus points for any of: Rewst, n8n, AWS, Hudu, CIPP, EDR tuning, scripting in PowerShell or Python, or prior exposure to financial services or insurance clients.
Soft skills that matter here
Direct communication, problem ownership, comfort working in a small team where you cannot hide behind a process. We give people a lot of autonomy and we expect them to use it.
There is a path into a technical lead role over time as the business scales, but this is a hands-on technical role first. Come for the work, not the title.
What we offer
Salary range $80,000 to $95,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience. Buderim office, 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Modern automation-led stack including N-central, HaloPSA, Rewst, Hudu, SentinelOne, Huntress, Sophos, Cove, Duo, Cloudflare Zero Trust, AWS, Microsoft 365 via Pax8 CSP, and CIPP. Small team, no politics, no corporate noise.
