We are seeking a senior Motor Mechanic (General) to join our skilled team. You'll be responsible for performing light vehicle logbook servicing, general mechanical repairs, wheel alignment, brake & suspension work, engine diagnostics, fluid changes and roadworthy inspections. We service cars, SUVs, utes, and 4×4 vehicles.

Task & responsibilities
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Perform logbook servicing, preventative maintenance, and major mechanical repairs on light vehicles.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair engine, transmission, steering, suspension, braking, and driveline systems.
- Conduct engine performance testing, fault-finding, and vehicle system diagnostics.
- Perform brake, clutch, suspension, wheel alignment, and tyre-related repairs and replacements.
- Carry out roadworthy inspections and road testing to assess vehicle performance and verify repairs.
- Ensure all repairs and servicing are completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate service records, repair reports, and parts documentation.
- Assist in mentoring and providing technical guidance to apprentice and junior mechanics.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements at all times.
Qualification & experience
- Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or an equivalent trade qualification.
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant post-qualification work experience as a Motor Mechanic.
- Demonstrated experience in advanced diagnostics and fault-finding.
- Strong technical knowledge of modern vehicle systems and repair procedures.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
