Mobile Plant Operator NEC

We are looking for skilled Mobile Plant Operators to join PSSG Group. You will operate excavators, loaders, rollers, and dozers, perform site works, maintain equipment, and uphold safety standards across diverse construction projects.

Task & responsibilities

• Operate a range of mobile plant equipment, such as excavators, loaders, graders, rollers, and dozers, to support earthmoving and construction activities.
• Carry out pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and reporting of faults to ensure machinery remains safe, efficient, and compliant.
• Interpret and follow site plans, drawings, and instructions to complete excavation, loading, grading, and compaction tasks to project specifications.
• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, engineers, and crew members to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety (WHS) policies, site procedures, and environmental requirements at all times.
• Monitor ground conditions and machinery performance, adjusting operations as required to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Assist with the transportation, set-up, and dismantling of mobile plant equipment as directed.
• Maintain accurate logs of work completed, fuel usage, and plant hours to support operational and compliance reporting.
• Participate in toolbox talks, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational capability.

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as Mobile Plant Operators
• AQF Certificate II or III 
• A combination of formal qualifications and relevant experience is acceptable.
• Previous experience operating mobile plant equipment 
• Relevant licenses/tickets 
• Sound knowledge of WHS standards and safe work practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow project requirements.
