About the role

We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team at PeriscoPe Digital Pty Ltd. As a key member of our Ecommerce team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative digital solutions that drive the success of our growing business. This full-time position is based in our modern office in Burleigh Heads, Queensland.

The Role

We're looking for a mid-level full stack developer who can comfortably move between:

• Shopify storefronts and apps (themes, Liquid, app integrations, front-end performance), and

• Small web applications/portals that integrate with CRMs, project tools, and (increasingly) Microsoft 365 / low-code platforms.

You'll split your time roughly between:

- Building and extending Shopify and other ecommerce front ends for exceptional B2C brands

- Delivering portals and workflow tools for B2B and government clients.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Shopify and other ecommerce sites:

- Customise themes (Liquid, JS, CSS), build reusable components, optimise UX and performance

- Integrate third-party apps and APIs (payments, shipping, subscriptions, reviews, etc.)

- Build full stack web features for internal tools and client portals:

- Multi-step, validated forms and dashboards in React/Next.js or similar

- Back-end endpoints and integrations (Node/.NET or similar) to CRMs, project tools, and email/notification systems

- Work with low-code / automation platforms where needed:

- Configure workflows and simple apps using tools like Power Automate/Power Apps or equivalent (we'll support you to level up here)

- Contribute to solution design:

- Help choose the right approach (custom build vs low-code vs Shopify app) for each project.

- Estimate work, flag risks, and participate in planning and code reviews.

Must-Have Skills

- 2–5 years as a full stack or frontend-heavy developer.

- Solid modern frontend skills

- JavaScript/TypeScript, React or similar, HTML, CSS

- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages is essential for this role.

- Practical Shopify experience (Liquid, theme customisation, storefront API usage, app integrations, responsive UI)

- Back-end experience with at least one common stack (Node.js/Express, .NET, or similar)

- Experience integrating with third-party APIs

- Good understanding of web security basics and performance optimisation

- Comfortable taking ownership of features end-to-end with minimal supervision

- Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.

Nice-to-Have

- Experience with low-code / automation tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Zapier, Make, etc.)

- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 stack (SharePoint lists, Teams, basic Power BI)

- Experience building secure intake portals or B2B dashboards.

- Testing (unit/integration) and CI/CD basics
