Metal Fabricator

WRM Trading Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker to join our busy fabrication workshop in Kingston. The successful candidate will be involved in the fabrication and assembly of steel truck trays, truck bodies, and other custom steel components.

Task & responsibilities

• Perform general steel fabrication work in a workshop environment
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Cut, shape, and assemble structural steel components
• Conduct MIG welding, CO₂ welding, and flux core welding
• Operate folding, rolling, and cutting equipment safely and efficiently
• Fabricate and assemble truck trays and truck bodies
• Conduct maintenance and repair of flameproof equipment
• Inspect and test fabricated products for quality and compliance
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with WHS procedures

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience
• Proficient in MIG welding and steel fabrication techniques
• Ability to read and follow detailed engineering drawings
• Familiarity with workshop tools and safety practices
• Forklift licence or machinery tickets (advantageous but not essential)
