About the role

Maitland Central Podiatry are seeking a motivated and experienced Medical Receptionist to cover maternity leave and sick leave. Three days a week. This is a contract role based in East Maitland, NSW 2323. Starting End of July for at least 6 months.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner

• Managing the appointment schedule and booking new appointments

• Handling patient inquiries and providing information about services and policies

• Maintaining accurate patient records and updating electronic medical files

• Taking Payments, Invoicing and Receipts (we use Hicaps and Cliniko)

• Assist with Instrument Autoclaving (this is easily taught)

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role

• Minimum of 6 months experience in medical reception or healthcare administration is required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients, staff and healthcare professionals

• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities

• Proficient in using electronic medical software and Microsoft Office applications

• Flexible and adaptable approach to work with the ability to cover sick leave.

• Commitment to providing high-quality customer service and patient care

• Tidying and Locking Up

• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with valid work rights
