Permanent full time position for experienced medical receptionist to work in a busy solo practitioner specialist surgical practice (colorectal surgery) in Maitland, Hunter Valley, NSW.

Minimum 1-2 years of medical reception experience is required.

Responsible for:

• facilitating patient appointments

• receiving and responding to patient enquiries via telephone and email

• remuneration claims from private health funds (via Genie software) and NSW Health (via VMoney),

• communication between both private and public hospitals regarding operating lists.

Experience with Genie practice software is preferred.

Specialist surgery reception experience is preferred.

Australian citizenship is required for this position.

Must communicate with patients in a polite, professional and respectful manner.
