About the role

REBELT (AUST) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Singleton, NSW. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in our CHPP maintenance team, ensuring efficient and reliable operations. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

What you'll be doing

• Performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on a variety of CHPP components

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, and implementing effective solutions

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to guide your work

• Collaborating with the wider maintenance team and site representatives to coordinate and prioritise tasks

• Maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used

• Ensuring a safe work environment by following all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

• Formal trade qualification as a Fitter Machinist or equivalent

• Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Mechanical Fitter in a CHPP or similar setting

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals

• Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and techniques

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience working on pumps, screens, centrifuges and conveyors

Must have

• Current drivers licence

• Working at heights

• Confined space

• Flexibility to work overtime during shutdown and breakdown situations

• Current order 43/45 Medical
