Mechanical Engineering Technician - Austral

At Multiquip, we are dedicated to serving the Australian poultry industry. Our focus lies in the safe transportation of live birds from breeder farms to processing plants. As a vital part of this process, we are seeking skilled Mechanical Engineering Technicians to join our team on a full-time basis.

In this position, you'll collaborate closely with our workshop team on the following:

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance of plant and equipment and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
• Installation/relocation of plant and equipment as required(old/new)
• Overhauling and reconditioning machinery and equipment
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Assisting all maintenance staff on other maintenance duties when required
• Following all Company policies and procedures at all times
• Ensuring all Work Health and Safety regulations are actioned at all times.
• Timely repairs, assessing, and prioritising breakdown service periods.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Full-time role with Monday to Friday hours and Saturday rotating roster
• Over time available
• Day/Night shifts available
• Competitive base hourly rate between $38 - $43 an hour
