About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Line Marker / Road Marker / Painter to join our growing operations team. The successful applicant will undertake line marking and pavement marking works across civil, commercial, industrial and local government projects.

This is an ongoing full-time position offering long-term employment opportunities.

This role requires a skilled operator with experience in the surface preparation, application of road and pavement marking, surface coatings using specialised line marking equipment in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and Department of Transport specifications and traffic management requirements.

 Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of surfaces for line marking and pavement marking works

• Application of thermoplastic, waterborne, cold applied plastic and epoxy-based road marking products

• Operation and maintenance of line marking machinery and spray equipment

• Measuring and setting out pavement markings to project specifications

• Reading and interpreting plans, layouts and traffic management documentation

• Installation of car park markings, road lines, symbols, audio tactile line markings (ATLM) and safety markings

• Ensuring works comply with OHS requirements, relevant Australian Standards and Department of Transport specifications and client requirements

• Conducting routine equipment inspections and minor maintenance

• Completing site documentation, safety records and job reports

• Working effectively within crews on night shift operations

 Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in line marking or road marking operations

• Experience operating airless spray units, thermoplastic applicators and related equipment

• Knowledge of pavement marking standards and traffic control requirements

• Ability to read plans and accurately set out marking works

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Current driver licence (HR licence desirable)

• White Card / Construction Induction Card

• Traffic Management tickets highly regarded

• Ability to work prescribed ordinary hours, with availability to undertake reasonable overtime and weekend work as operational requirements dictate.

• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices and a willingness to comply with company integrated management system, policies and procedures.

• Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening

• Competitive salary and overtime opportunities.  With guaranteed shift and weekend loadings this role provides an annual salary of $81,000 - $100,000 - depending on skills and experience.
