QCFM is a transport company specialising in refrigerated road freight. We pride ourselves on delivering professional and reliable service to our customers and are seeking an experienced Linehaul Allocator / Manager to join our growing team.
Based at our Melbourne depot in Sunshine West, this is a full-time opportunity for a well-presented and experienced transport professional to oversee our Linehaul operations. The successful candidate will bring strong Linehaul allocation and scheduling experience, along with demonstrated experience leading drivers and coordinating fleet operations.
Position Overview
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
Managing the allocation of 10–12 Linehaul vehicles to ensure customer requirements are met
Coordinating driver rosters across both Linehaul and Local operations
Ensuring freight is loaded, unloaded and delivered within required timeframes
Managing and coordinating drivers daily
Participating in driver inductions, training and assessments
Conducting regular toolbox meetings with drivers
Reviewing and signing off daily driver run sheets, Proof of Deliveries (PODs) and completing administrative tasks
Managing and addressing non-compliance and performance issues
Ensuring adequate driver resources are available to meet operational requirements, including participating in recruitment activities
Coordinating fleet maintenance scheduling with the operations team
Reporting and investigating incidents, including implementing corrective and preventative actions
Ensuring compliance with relevant transport legislation and industry requirements
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to support operational growth and efficiencies
Skills & Experience Required
Strong knowledge of road transport rules and regulations
Understanding of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM)
Previous Linehaul allocation experience is essential
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to follow processes and maintain operational systems
Demonstrated ability to identify improvements and implement practical solutions
Strong communication and leadership skills
HC/MC Licence preferred but not essential
Forklift Licence preferred but not essential
Refrigerated transport experience preferred
