Holy Name Primary School Forster is seeking a temporary part time (18hrs p/w) Library Assistant to join the team Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week for terms 3 and 4.
Holy Name Forster is located in the Spectacular Manning Valley, centred in the heart of the Great Lakes region. A school of over 300 students, catering from K-6, Holy Name strives for academic excellence in all Key Learning Areas while maintaining a supportive and Christian environment, with teaching strategies and practices consistently reviewed to ensure quality teaching and learning occurs through targeted improvements.
The School Officer/Library Assistant:
As a member of the library team, works to support teachers and students utilising Library facilities and resources
As a member of the school team, works to support nominated staff in the performance of their duties
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools
Recent experience working in a school library including working knowledge of OLIVER cataloguing system
Knowledge of WHS requirements in a library setting
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to show initiative, work alone or as part of a team
A flexible approach to completion of tasks with frequent interruptions
QUALIFICATIONS
ALIA accredited qualification, preferably at the diploma level
Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
Completion of anaphylaxis training
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary is in accordance with New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2025.
