What you will do

As learning and development officer, you will support training and development across Western Plains Correctional Centre.

You will help staff access training programs that suit their role and support safe prison operations.

You will:

  • support the development and opening of a new correctional facility
  • maintain accurate training records and update specialist databases
  • help prepare clear reports on training and service delivery
  • support the review and creation of practical learning materials
  • assist with training sessions, induction programs and staff recognition activities.

About you

You should have experience working with training records and learning systems. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or willingness to complete it, is desirable.

You should also have:

  • experience using Microsoft Office and training databases
  • knowledge of training administration and AQTF compliance
  • strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • a flexible and inclusive approach when working with others.
