Our business, HCB Rural and Land Management, has current opportunities for persons looking for a career in the fields of land management and conservation work.

We are located in Singleton, NSW, working and operating in an area with diversity of industries including coal mining, agriculture, National Parks and biodiversity offset area management.
We provide a variety of services to rural landholders, mining companies, commercial businesses and NPWS including:
Weed control, monitoring and strategic management plans
Vertebrate pest management
Rural and commercial fencing
Tree planting and bush regeneration
Erosion control
Property maintenance
Bushfire mitigation, including trail maintenance
Vegetation management
Previous experience in similar work, good work ethic and an appreciation for the challenges and of course the benefits of working in the great outdoors are attributes that will be highly considered. Employees are remunerated based on current skill levels and progressively according to skills demonstrated and time in service. There is always opportunity to train and grow.
Essential Role Requirements:
Current drivers license and reliable transport
5 day, Monday to Friday availability
Construction Industry White Card or a willingness to obtain
Current AQF3 Chemical Use accreditation or a willingness to obtain
Ability to pass an Order 45 medical, required on NSW mine sites. This includes conformance to strict drug, alcohol and non-smoking policies.
An understanding of risk management practices and working under safe work procedures/polices
Preferred Role Requirements:
Experience across a range of land management and conservation tasks which could include weed control, weed identification, land rehabilitation, fencing, sediment control, vertebrate pest management, slashing, bush regeneration, bushfire mitigation, track maintenance and property inspections
Current accredited chainsaw training
Experience in the operation of chainsaws/brush cutters
Experience in the operation of heavy equipment such as tractors, excavators, skid steer loader, mulcher and slasher
Experience in rural fencing
Experience in operating 4WD and RTV vehicles
A basic understanding of maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment
