About the role
Part-Time Kitchen Supervisor at Afters, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and smooth operation of the night kitchen, Thursday to Saturday nights. This hands-on position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality take away food, and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
What you'll be doing
Supervising and coordinating the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation
Monitoring food quality, portion control, and presentation to uphold Afters brand standards
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including food handling and hygiene
Providing training and support to kitchen staff to enhance their skills and productivity
Maintaining accurate inventory records and monitoring stock levels to minimise waste
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a fast paced kitchen environment or as a kitchen leader role within the hospitality industry
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to work well under pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate the kitchen team
Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation
Passion for creating high-quality, visually appealing dishes that exceed customer expectations
Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with industry trends and continuously improving kitchen operations.
