The Role:

As the IT Lead, you will report into the GM Support Operations, and own the delivery of the IT strategy, governance, cyber security, business systems and vendor relationships. In this holistic and hands on leadership role, you will advise on the technology direction, govern external partners, report on IT projects/risks/activity, and lead initiatives that keep PetO technology secure, reliable and aligned with the needs of a growing multi-site retail, grooming and veterinary business.

Responsibilities include:

• Technology Infrastructure Management - maintenance and support of all technology systems; escalation and management of business critical system stability and performance

• Vendor and budget management - manage relationships, select + negotiate vendors, monitor contract adherence/performance, manage upgrades and updates, ensure resources allocated to business needs and budget

• Administration and Technical support - manage Helpdesk desk support to deliver Administration of all systems, emails/licences/passwords, manage Microsoft/Sharepoint access levels and administration

• Security, Integrity and Health Checks - data security and privacy measures (customer payment details, employee records, proprietary business data); security protocols to safeguard digital assets via firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection.

• Hardware and Software - oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems; troubleshoot issues

• Disaster planning - develop and execute plans; maintain data backups

• Continuous improvement - analyze processes, technologies, and vendors continually to find areas for improvement

About You

You’re an experienced IT Lead with:

• 5 years in SME / owner operated organization - Retail or Services industry experience valuable

• ERP experience ideally PRONTO however not a pre requisite, including Inventory/EDI

• Experience managing vendors and outsourced services

• Multi site support experience

• Ai process optimisation interest

• eCommerce/Online experience in system changes and replatforming

• Aspiration to be strategic IT owner in future

• Reporting – Power BI, etc

• Can do, hands on attitude

• Curious problem solver and in the detail for problem solving

• Customer and commercial outcomes focused and aligned

• Business partner mindset

• Enthusiasm and energy to match the fun vibrant culture of PetO
