Spirit of Tasmania is widely recognised for its provision of a world class passenger and freight service, and its contribution to the Australian tourism industry.
We are seeking expressions of interest for experienced Casual Integrated Ratings to join our Marine Operations team working on-board our twin ships. We currently have an increased operational need with four ships in our fleet.
Our preparation is underway for Spirit of Tasmania IV and V coming into operation later this year. Spirit of Tasmania IV and V will mark the beginning of a new era of sea travel with innovative interiors, superb facilities and increased capacity for passengers and vehicles (up to 1800 passengers and with over 4000 vehicle lane metres).
As an Integrated Rating you will work on-board our vessels ensuring safe and efficient operations by assisting with:
cargo operations
assisting in mooring and anchoring operations
navigational watches
general deck operational assistance
engine room cleaning and maintenance
emergency response and passenger mustering duties.
We are looking for Casual Integrated Ratings who are:
motivated seafarers
reliable and proactive
positive and adaptable
team orientated
safety focused
All applicants must hold a current AMSA Medical of Fitness, Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC), Certificate of Sea Safety Training and Certificate III Marine Operations (COP), and have a willingness to obtain endorsements in Passenger Safety, Cargo Safety & Hull Integrity and Crisis Management Training.
