Import Operations

This Australian owned freight forwarder located in Parramatta is seeking to recruit an experienced import operator to facilitate the coordination of all import shipments (Air/Sea) internationally/domestically. To be an eligible applicant you must have import experience with a freight forwarder in either Air or (preferably) Sea freight operations.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Job registration
• Monitoring cargo availability and status
• Sea/air cargo automation
• Organising & lodging underbond movements
• Finalising invoices to clients and overseas agents
• Third party billings
• Monitoring movement of transhipment cargo
• Collection & handover of delivery orders and EDO's
• Organising local & interstate road & rail movements 
• Liaising with shipping lines, freight forwarders, overseas agents, customers, suppliers and internal staff 

Role Requirements:

• Import air & sea operations experience within freight forwarding environment
• Cargowise EDI experience essential
• Computer literacy in MS Office applications 
• Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
• Excellent communication skills - written and oral
• Ability to prioritise, follow through and meet deadlines
• Willingness to learn and contribute to team outcomes
• Customer service focus
