About the role:
This is a hands-on, visible role across the College. You will work across the College campus, in classrooms, computer labs and offices, directly with students and staff every day.
As our ICT Officer, your focus is on delivering timely, high-quality first-level technical support - resolving issues promptly, keeping the service desk moving, and ensuring our people can access the technology they need to teach and learn effectively.
Provide first-level ICT support across the College, resolving support requests in a timely way
Triage, prioritise, and escalate issues to ensure efficient resolution
Support staff and students with devices, software, logins, printing, and connectivity
Set up and maintain classrooms, computer labs, and audio-visual equipment
Manage user accounts, password resets, and device configuration
The role is suited to a recent graduate or someone early in their IT career who is ready to build hands-on experience across IT operations.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Experience working with young people or in a school or educational setting.
A friendly, approachable and responsive style, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and support users with varying levels of digital skills
The ability to prioritise and manage competing requests calmly in a busy environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with common ICT systems, Microsoft Products, AD, experience with Azure (preferred).
Essential Requirements
Proven experience in an ICT support or help desk role (minimum 1 year), with clear examples of resolving end-user issues in a timely, customer-focused way
Working with Vulnerable People Registration
National Police Check
